KWI is back with an interview of your favorite Kpop idols. Right now, it’s the time to know a lot more better about Stardom’s rookie group, ToppDogg!
ToppDogg officially debuted at October 24, 2013, with their first mini album, “Dogg’s Out”. As debuted, ToppDogg catched a lot of Kpop’s lovers attention with 13 members in it.

*-*Hello ToppDogg. We’re from Korean Wave Indonesia. Congratulation for your debut! Could you please tell us the meaning of ToppDogg?
[ToppDogg] The name ToppDogg was made by Cho PD (STARDOMent LTD’s president). The meaning is the winner. We love this name. We feel that we could be a true winner if we do compete with ourselves.
-Could you guys tell about your debut album? How long it took for the preparation and what is the music’s genre in the album?
[ToppDogg] Each member had their own preparation state, started from 3 months to 8 years. Our debut album (Dogg’s Out) contains 5 songs, with ‘Say It’ as the title song. Each song had its own genre, such as, hiphop, dubstep, R&B, K-Pop.
-What is your impression about each other, knowing that you guys will be in a group?
[ToppDogg] “A lot~ of members~!!” You know that ToppDogg had 13 members in it. Actually, at first we were confused because there’re 13 members.
-For Kidoh. You produced some song in ToppDogg’s debut mini album. How do you feel about that?
[Kidoh] At first I want to thank all of you. I produced 2 songs in the album. ‘A Girl Like That’ and ‘Playground’. Both of them were different, since ‘A Girl Like That’ was a solo song, while ‘Playground’ was team’s song. I feel producing song is my chance to show my talent.
-Cho PD had announced that there will be sub-unit in ToppDogg. What do you guys think about that?*
[ToppDogg] It was planned that there will be 4 units (Dragon, Knight, Wizard, Lion) and solo. Every unit and solo will be having a lot of music style. We want to show kinds of music and our appearance. You guys will be soon enjoy the music.
-What kind of music genre that you guys want to try in the next album?*
[ToppDogg] This is a secret ^o^. But you guys could count on us.*
-Who is ToppDogg’s role model?*
[ToppDogg] We think that BIGBANG is an extraordinary idol group, because each members had their own character, talent, and music ctyle. ToppDogg with 13 member also had different style each other, and planned to form unit and solo.
-Other than position divine for every members (rapper, main vocal, leader, main dancer, maknae, etc), could you guys mention special/unique expertise(ability) each member?*
[ToppDogg] Kidoh and Gohn could be producer. All Wizard’s members could make a choreography.
-Yano and Atom are in the maknae line, both also rapper. Between them two, who you guys think is more appropriate to be the maknae?*
[ToppDogg] This is a very hard question ^^:: Both are childish. We think that’s a good thing for ToppDogg, because Yano and Atom give us inspiration and energy.
-Between the members of ToppDogg, who has the character of “Dad” and “Mom”?
[ToppDogg] The one who become the “Dad” is P-Goon, since he’s the leader. The “Mom” would be Jenissi, since he’s so caring about us.
-Who is the mood maker in ToppDogg ? What is the reason?*
[ToppDogg] Leader P-Goon is the mood maker. But sometimes the mood maker is Hansol. He has a high concentration and also an influence for the team.
-Which ToppDogg member has the 4D character?
[ToppDogg] Seo-goong! He has that sense of humor.
-Make each member’s rank of English-ability-speaking.
[ToppDogg] Kidoh speaks English fluently and Yano can speak in English.
-How do you guys want to see ToppDogg in the next 1 year?
[ToppDogg] We really put our faith for the next 1 year. We want the fans to know us better from the new album and live performance.
-Other than Korea, ToppDogg has already had a lot of fans around the world, include Indonesia. How do you guys feel?
[ToppDogg] We really didn’t think there were a lot of fans that liked our music. We hope those fans could give us a chance to return the favor.
-What is the meaning of fans for ToppDogg? Is there any unforgettable memory with your fans?
[ToppDogg] When we did our very first broadcasting in the debut day, fans sent a cake in the shape of ToppDogg’s logo. That was impressive.
-What is your future hope and plan ?
[ToppDogg] We have a lot of plan for unit and solo. We really put our faith on every album, also the performance of the unit and solo. But, top of all, we really want to meet the fans on our live performance. For that, we will do our best.
-What do you guys know about Indonesia? If you had the chance to give a visit, do you guys want to and meet all ToppDogg’s Indonesian fans?
[ToppDogg] We really hope we could come and meet the Indonesian fans. We want to make those fans know about us from our music and performance directly.
-Please give few words for your Indonesian fans.
[ToppDogg] Hello Korean Wave Indonesia and Indonesian K-Pop fans. First of all, we really appreciate your support and attention. Finally we debuted with our first album (Dogg’s Out). We want the public to know about ToppDogg and our music. We can’t wait to show you our music and performance directly in front of you. We think that could be happen soon. We have a lot of plan for our music. Our next music was already prepared. You can hear a good news in the near future.
